Jizoku is committed to exploring diverse mechanisms to turn climate action into measurable impact. While the J-Credit system is one of the tools we use to achieve this goal, we have also introduced the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) system, becoming the first company in Japan to generate carbon credits under this international framework.
Through our collaboration with REMARE Inc., we provided consulting services at the start of the project and supported project registration. Thanks to this contribution, the project can be successfully created carbon credits by reducing marine plastic waste in Mie Prefecture. This project not only demonstrates the potential of alternative credit systems but also highlights the importance of cross-sector partnerships in addressing both environmental and regional development challenges.
