Jizoku Inc. Recognized as a Hitotsubashi University-Certified Venture
Jizoku Inc. is proud to announce that it has been officially recognized as a Startup Venture from Hitotsubashi University.
At the official recognition ceremony held on January 17 at Hitotsubashi University’s Kunitachi Campus, our CEO Keiichiro Kataoka received the startup title directly from President Nakano.
With this recognition, Jizoku Inc. becomes the first company to receive the official title of a startup venture from Hitotsubashi University.
Message from the CEO
“It is a great honor to receive this title.
At Jizoku, under the mission ‘To create a world where everyone can continue enjoying delicious rice,’ we have been engaged in carbon credit generation initiatives within the agricultural sector.
Carbon credits are an excellent mechanism for internalizing externalities. When effectively combined with other green transformation (GX) schemes such as carbon taxes and emissions trading systems (ETS), they not only contribute to combating climate change but also unlock new business opportunities and competitive advantages within existing industries.
We believe that leveraging carbon credits allows us to evaluate the underrecognized multifunctional value of agriculture and ultimately revitalize rural communities.
That said, the carbon credit system still needs further development in certain areas. Amid such challenges, we are committed to continuing our efforts to drive innovation and bring fresh momentum to the industry.
Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the farmers who have supported us, as well as to our partners in academia and research—including Hitotsubashi University—and in the private sector.
We look forward to your continued support.”

CEO, Jizoku Inc.
