Jizoku Launches Partnership with Utara LLC to Create J-Credits

Jizoku Inc. (Head Office: Kunitachi, Tokyo; Representative Director: Keiichiro Kataoka) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with Utara LLC (Horonobe Town, Teshio District, Hokkaido) to collaborate on the creation of J-Credits.

About Jizoku Inc.

Since its predecessor organization, the General Incorporated Association Co, Jizoku has been engaged in the creation of carbon credits through the extension of midseason drainage periods in rice paddies.

The company now focuses on compliance credits, including J-Credits and the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), expanding its initiatives not only in Japan but also internationally.

About Utara LLC

Utara LLC operates a guesthouse in the Tokonbetsu area of Horonobe Town, Hokkaido, while also promoting local culture through activities such as hosting the Tokonbetsu Chamber Orchestra.

The orchestra performs primarily in Hokkaido and other locations across Japan. Recent performances include:

• Geisai Festival at Tokyo University of the Arts
• Akitabi Sōya cultural event
