Jizoku Inc. Exhibited at “Agriculture Week” at Makuhari Messe

Jizoku Inc. (CEO: Keiichiro Kataoka) participated in “Agriculture Week”, to held from October 1–3, 2025, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

The company exhibited as a partner of NTT Group, presenting within the NTT booth. Jizoku showcased its sustainability-focused agricultural solutions, including Extended Mid-Season Drainage and Biochar.

Overview of Solutions

  • Extended Mid-Season Drainage: In rice cultivation, the “mid-season drainage” refers to draining water before the heading stage. By extending this drainage period by approximately one additional week compared to conventional practice, methane emissions can be reduced by 30%. This method is gaining attention as a practical approach to climate change mitigation.
  • Biochar: Agricultural residues such as rice husks, pruned branches, and bamboo are carbonized into biochar and applied to farmland. This contributes to soil improvement and carbon sequestration, enabling both resource recycling and decarbonization in agriculture.

Invitation

We look forward to welcoming visitors interested in decarbonization and sustainability in the agricultural sector.
