Field surveys and ecological records are conducted in paddy fields to document the basic ecosystem structure and species composition, providing a basis for assessing the impact of biochar addition on biodiversity.

To minimize the environmental impact of human activities, Jizoku is committed to investigating biodiversity in agricultural landscapes. This includes research on aquatic insects and other key species that serve as indicators of ecosystem health. For instance, our specialists have spent time surveying and identifying species in our partner farmland in Fukushima, contributing valuable data to promote more sustainable farming practices.
